The Road to Good Credit

Building and maintaining a good credit history and/or score can be quite challenging. Some of my favorite techniques are to 1) take out a small secured personal loan from a bank, 2) pay all your utility bills in your name (not your roommates’), and 3) use a credit card wisely.

Thanks for reading Christine. Thanks for pointing out the gender thing on the graphic. I actually didn’t see that when I first cruised through it.

That’s interesting that men get approved a little more often than women. I know some pretty irresponsible men with money! haha

  I wonder if the way credit is approved is based on a system that’s old and outdated. Possibly when men were the only income generators. It’s the only reason I can think of!
